Today Takao Shinji 9p beat Cho Chikun 9p by resignation in 2 game in best-of-5 final for Judan title. After this game Takao Shinji is leading 2-0 and he need only one more win in next 3 games to take last Cho Chikun title. Cho Chikun after losing chance to get Kisei title and NHK don’t play so good.
Opening was the same like game from 2 round in 3rd Zhonghuan. That time Takao Shinji was playing against Lee Changho 9p. The difference is with move 14. In Takao-Lee white reinforce his weak group on right side by playing on second line, but Lee play kakari in upper left corner and had easy fuseki. Game Takao-Lee is also very famous of huge nakade which kill Takao big dragon.
Backing to Takao-Cho game white play shimari with white 14 instead of defending his group. Cho Chikun immediately start attack. Black 19 is big surprise for me. Up to 24 it looks ok but black 25 is little too much, maybe black should play 33 instead of 25.
Fight in center don’t look very good for black, but of course Cho Chikun found great move (black 63 - 1 on Dia.1). Situation seems to be even, but Cho Chikun play overplay with 77 and after few moves was forced to resign. After 102 moves Takao Shinji won second game by resignation. Third game will be played 2008-04-03 in Nagano.
