In Second day of 3 stage of 6th Jeongganjang Lee Minjin 5p from Korea beat Kato Keiko 5p from Japan. After this last opponent for Lee Minjin is Rui Naiwei 9p. they will play tommorrow, but before this one should watch today game.
Kato Keiko takes white stone and play very thick in opening. White 12 was forced because of exchange of Black 9 to 10 (after this white can play hane at 13 because of cross-cut and leadder is unfavorable for white). The biggest surprise in opening was 16 (i was expecting hane to the corner and start complicated joseki). Kato Keiko show great style in fuseki playing very solid.
White build huge moyo on center but after black 35 white position wasn’t easy. White 36 show great fighting spirit, but black 37 for the first play looks bad. Giving white chance to play in natural way white 40 was good for white but after this Lee Minjin play very nice tesuji at black 41. White can’t cut black two stone in bottom side, because white cornenr is not so strong and invasion in san san is serious threat.
With 62 Kato Keiko start first big fight in the game. The situation calm very quickly and players enter yose. In endgame Lee Minjin start unexpected ko in bottom right corner an win this with no loss! After the ko game was fixed. After 280 moves Lee Minjin won by 6,5 points.
Kato Keiko 5p vs Lee Minjin 5p B+6,5
