In last few days i couldn’t find time to play baduk, but today i found it and play game on Cyberoro. In previous few games i play with high 4D* or low 5D* so when I saw my opponent is strong 5D* I was excited :) In nigiri I took white stones (my favorite) and was prepared to play long game.

In opening we play very common pattern but he play tenuki with black 15 instead of end joseki at 23. Before playing 18 I think very long which is better attack black corner or play shimari in upper left corner and this same time forcing black to play at 25. I used tewari and conclusion was: if black will play at 25 on Dia.1 i will play shimari on bottom side not on upper side, so I think attack with 18 was correct move.

After my experiment move with white 22 (normally i extend here) black cut, I connect my two stones aiming cut at D, but next black play was very weird move. Black 25 looks very solid. but if you change order of moves (Dia.2), that you will see that this move was slack. Instead of 25 move at 1 on Dia.2(E at Dia.1) can be considered. Next white can play A-C in sente aiming cut at D.

Next I play on left side and black invade at sansan with 33. Up to 52 I can said that white sequence end with success. White secure territory on left side and black has weak group. It’s hard to find good follow up for black, so tenuki on Dia.4 was very good decision.

Black play 53 trying build moyo on bottom side. After situation in upper left corner I was sure that I can win if I make some sabaki with white 54. black answer with 55 aiming weak point at 69. I make very paintful exchange 56-59 to obtain sente and play at 60. Black 61 is very powerful move. It can be very helpful for begginers that if you want attack your opponent invader you can’t play contacting moves which only helps your opponent.

Up to 64 I was very confidend about result of this game, than black play very weird move going out with one stone on right side. Up to 73 white gets 3 important things:

  1. Now his group on right side is completely alive.
  2. Obtain sente to strength his group in center.
  3. Aji at C is now very big because B is now sente.

One can ask why I don’t play atari on stone at 73, I will make some cutting points in black shape this way. Of course, but I will lost aji at (B-C) which is more important. When I obtain sente I made stupid mistake like last idiot. Instead of white 74 I should play at 77 and game will be very hard for black to come back.

After big mistake from Dia.4 I tried something to complicate situation. Black don’t like it so he make a furikawri because there is some aji in white corner so it was very hard to me to decide if this furkiwari is even. I know one thing I had no choice :(

Black continued attack with 89 so I feel forced to use aji of white 90 to get some shape. It was very paintful to force black to play at 91 but white 100 give feeling that i can win this game in yose.

Up to 12 sequence is forced and with 14 and get nice shape and feel that I will win this game.

Latter black tried something on left side but his situation wasn’t good, he even miss some killing tesuji like this from Dia.8 and some time later he resign. now I feel I can play good go if force himself to think more than 5 sec per move. Now my future goal is to get promotion to 2-Dan in Poland. To obtain this I need to win one game so I think it won’t be hard ;p
