Lee Changho advance to 2nd round of Electron-Land Cup

7 May, Lee Changho 9p play versus his teacher Cho Hunhyun 9p in 1st round of Electron-Land Cup. Last year Lee Changho lost in final to Kang Dongyun 7p 2-1. Today Cho Hunhyun who took black stones play very interesting opening by building a lot of thickness.
After 71 moves black position in center was very thick, so Lee Changho decide to play tenuki to reduce black moyo in center. This give Cho Hunhyun opportunity to start ko. Lee Changho had only few local ko threat, so he was forced to ignore black 97 and recapture ko. White was in big danger and need to find some sabaki very quickly. The most interesting move of this game is answer to peep of black105. White mustn’t connect because it will only make white heavy but extending at 106 and give one more stone to gain tempo is very interesting. Up to white 120, Lee Changho succeed in breaking out and situation was very hard for Cho Hunhyun. After 140 moves Cho Hunhyun resign.
