Today was held second game of Female Myeongin final. In the first game after Cho Hyeyeon 7p mistake in first fight lost game by huge margin 24,5 point. Today Cho Hyeyeon was black. The opening was pretty normal until black 15. I don”t saw this move before.

Little korigatachi???

White 4 was perfect extension and attack for black group. Black 5 is forced but after this black position seems to be a korigatachi. Is this move is recently popular in Korea? I understand that after normal 3 space extension, the aji is really bad, but white don’t have so good extansion like white 4 from last diagram.

Which one is better?

This is famous joseki played recently by Yi ChangHo 9p but i don’t think that this variation is very bad for black. Especially that now invasion in button left corner is bigger.

Later Cho Hyeyeon play on big scale on the right side so result was even. The game was very good. Rui Naiwei play calm game and lucky won by half a point. In my feeling Cho lost something in yose in center of the board.

Rui Naiwei by winning today game had kept thw female Myeongin title 4 time in a row.
